Opened in May 2021, the Lake Dunstan Trail is the newest addition to New Zealand’s Ngā Haerenga Great Rides network and is already considered one of the country’s top cycling experiences.

Spanning 55 km along the shores of Lake Dunstan, the trail meanders through classic Central Otago scenery, offering stunning views of the lake, mountains, vineyards, orchards, and the dramatic Cromwell Gorge.

Linking Cromwell to the historic town of Clyde, the route also provides the chance to explore Bannockburn’s renowned wineries and vineyards along the way.
