Are you a business owner or Cromwell resident looking for an exciting opportunity to learn about the rich history and culture of your community? Then join us for the Cromwell Ambassador Programme!
The Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group is hosting the first programme of the year on Thursday, 2 March. where you'll get to explore the history of the region, from the arrival of the first Maori settlers and European explorers to the gold rush days and the growth of Cromwell into the bustling hub it is today.
Not only will you learn about the pioneers of fruit growing, the era of dam development, and the entrepreneurs who have made Cromwell a hub for events, business, sport, multisport, wine tourism, hospitality, arts, tourism, and world-class cycling experiences, but you'll also be equipped with the skills to engage with both local and international visitors and share the amazing stories of the region.
The programme was created with Queenstown Resort College and is invaluable for anyone working in a customer-facing role. On successful completion of the programme, you'll receive a Tirau – Cromwell lapel pin to show that you are a proud ambassador for your community.
The Cromwell Ambassador Programme is endorsed by the Cromwell and Districts Promotion Group, Central Otago District Council, and the Cromwell Ambassador industry advocacy group and is led by local facilitators. The cost is just $35 + GST per person.
We can also arrange a bespoke Ambassador course for your team or business (minimum numbers apply).
If you are passionate about the history and culture of Cromwell and want to contribute to the legacy of the region, then the Cromwell Ambassador Programme is the perfect opportunity for you.
