Inviting Expressions Of Interest For The Iconic Cromwell Summer Series

Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group is inviting expressions of interest from experienced outdoor sporting event directors eager to take three events within the Cromwell Summer Series to the next level.

What is the Cromwell Summer Series?

The Cromwell Summer Series is a collection of sporting events that celebrate the vibrant spirit of Cromwell & Districts, and provide memorable experiences for locals and visitors alike. The series of events are the The Cromwell Half Marathon, The Bannockburn MTB Classic, The Round The Lake Dunstan Cycle Challenge, and the Lake Dunstan Triathlon Duathlon & Kayak Multisport Race, with the Cromwell Promotions Group seeking tenders from contractors for organising and implementing the latter three events. Traditionally, the events are run in late December and into early January, with scope to review this accordingly.

This is an opportunity for interested parties to take on a single event, or multiple events in their current format; or present new ideas to grow the events further.

The successful contractor will benefit from a formulated platform including marketing & promotional materials, branding & templates; and the continued promotional support from Cromwell Promotions Group.

Contractor responsibilities are highlighted below:

Event Management: Responsible for full event planning, coordination, and delivery of these events.

Financial Management: Responsible for their own event budget and stakeholder engagement including sponsors, vendors, local authorities, and community groups, to ensure successful collaboration and support for the events.

Marketing & Promotion: Drive their own strategic marketing & promotion plan. This will be supported by Cromwell Promotions Group providing added value to maximize exposure.

Logistics and Operations: Oversee all logistical aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, permits, staffing, equipment rental, and on-site coordination.

Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and security of participants, staff, and attendees.

Submission Deadline

All expressions of interest must be submitted by Friday 2nd August 2024 to Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group, via email to info@cromwell.org.nz

We look forward to receiving your interest, and working together to continue making the Cromwell Summer Series a memorable experience for all.
