It is nearly time for the second annual Light Up Winter! The inaugural event saw Cromwellians brave the cold to enjoy cups of warm mulled wine, delicious food, and great entertainment in the Cromwell Mall before heading out the Big Fruit Reserve for the big lantern release.
“This year, visitors can expect even more fun and entertainment to drive away the cold,” says Brigitte Tait, Community Relationships Manager of the Cromwell & Districts Promotion Group. Visitors can come and show off their creative flair in the Light Up Your Hat competition, and vote for their favourite window display in the mall. The highlight of the evening will be a mass lantern release which will see up to a 1 000 lanterns take to the sky.
